We believe
That our principles
Are the universal reality
We need a new awareness
That our beliefs are not all that there are in the world
That interpreting the world might be essential to our survival
Our world is a system
Within this system, we separate ourselves based on our beliefs
But we don’t see that the distinct separation is whats oppressing this system

But
We don’t have to let go of what we believe
But we do have to be curious about what someone else believes
Although there is this separation
The ultimate bases for ethics are clear:
To put selflessness over selfishness

We must have the ability to separate ethics and your own beliefs
So that we can increase, rather than decrease, the quality of people’s lives
We must help rather than harm
Our world is a system
Within this system, we separate ourselves based on our beliefs
But we don’t see that the distinct separation is whats oppressing this system

The separation is causing uncertainty in society
We see agent groups feeling that they have more power than target groups
And the ideals of target groups being diminished
Yet we know that these ideas of either group shouldn’t be determining what is ethically right or wrong
We know that ethics cannot be influenced by religion, law, sexual taboos, and or social conventions
But we still let these ideas interfere
Our system – our world
Is full of confusion
Confusion on how to separate our own beliefs from ethics
We must accept that difference
We must acknowledge this difference
We must acknowledge that the difference may be essential to our own survival
Our world is a system
Within this system, we separate ourselves based on our beliefs
But we don’t see that the distinct separation is whats oppressing this system
